In Carpet Cleaning

Spring is here and in full swing. Now that we will be spending more time at home, due to COVID-19, it is essential to keep it clean. Spring is known for its beautiful weather, but also the atrocious allergies. We have compiled a list of a few things you can do to reduce allergies in your home while you are in isolation.

Reducing Allergens

Spending time outdoors is a great way to boost your mood and change your scenery during this time. If you choose to spend time outside, make sure to practice social distancing. Now that trees and flowers are blooming, pollen is flying all around. Even if you can’t see it, it oftentimes sticks to you throughout the day. So if you are going in and out of your home, it is likely allergens will follow right behind you. One thing you can do is take off your shoes before entering your house, especially if you have rugs or carpet. You unknowingly can track in pollen or other allergens by merely wearing your shoes indoors. Since carpet has different fibers than other flooring options, dust and allergens can easily get caught. By simply removing your shoes, you can reduce allergens in your home.

Cleaning

Another thing we do when the weather is beautiful is to open up our windows. This way, we can feel the spring breeze and smell the fresh air. It is okay to do this, just as long as you clean up afterward. Allergens can blow into your home through open windows and stick to things nearby, like carpet. Make sure to clean your home frequently, especially after you had your windows open. Since everyone is practicing healthy habits, it is essential to clean anyways due to the Coronavirus. By vacuuming or deep cleaning your carpet, you are reducing the possibility of allergens in your home!

Hire Professionals

We realize at this time it is not advised to have visitors to your home due to COVID-19. If the Coronavirus were not happening, we would recommend hiring professionals. Carpet cleaners are specially trained to deep clean your carpet and home to reduce allergens. Not only that, but they can help catch leaks before it turns into mold, and many other things. We do not recommend having your home professionally cleaned until self-isolation is over.
